Spiritualism is the Science, Philosophy and Religion of continuous life. Our soul inhabits a physical body and, through the change called death, continues on at a higher vibration in the afterlife with its personal identity intact. "There is no death, there are no dead."
Spiritualist
A Spiritualist is a person who experiences, or has had it demonstrated to them, that communication between this world and the spirit world occurs, and endeavors to live his/her life in accordance with the highest teachings derived from such communication.
Science:
Since the beginning of Modern Spiritualism in 1848, scientists, chemists, physicists, parapsychologists, and other men and women of science have been studying mediums, healers, and the phenomena of Spiritualism. Quantum physics is giving us greater insight into our knowledge of existence. We encourage our members to learn more and more about these findings.
Philosophy:
Spiritualists have no dogmas or creeds. Spiritualists are encouraged to continually expand their knowledge to seek Truth for themselves. We know that Spiritual Natural Laws are the laws of God and they change for no one. We endeavor to live our lives by them. As we learn new truths, we gain more insight in our existence.
One Spiritual Natural Law is the Golden Rule: "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." Another is the Law of Thought: "Every thought you think has an effect on every cell in your body. Positive thoughts create health, negative thoughts create dis-ease. Every thought goes out into the Universe and attracts the conditions of our lives to us.
Religion:
We endeavor to learn about Spiritual Natural Laws and the highest teachings derived from spirit communications in order to live our lives and create our place in the afterlife.
Services
Our services consist of a 15-minute inspirational/spiritual lecture; followed by a spiritual healing service when healers channel healing energy; followed by spirit communications when mediums demonstrate the continuity of life by identifying loved ones and friends in the afterlife and relaying messages from them to those in attendance.
Adult Lyceum
Before the service, we have an adult lyceum class where everyone is welcome to join in the discussions about Spiritualism, Spiritual Natural Laws, Mediumship, Healing and other related topics of interest. The discussion group begins at 9:15 a.m. All are welcome.
Fellowship Hour
After the service, from Noon to 1 p.m., please join us downstairs for coffee, tea and refreshments (donations of food to share are always welcome). This is a great opportunity to talk to old friends and make new ones: to socialize with people of like mind and who share common interests.
Workshops
Spiritualists are urged to seek the truth for themselves while continuing to learn and grow. The topics are interesting and informative, and stimulate thinking to introduce us to new ideas and knowledge of the world around us.
We also learn about the methods and beliefs used by people throughout history to contact those in the afterlife, to unfold mediumship and healing abilities, and to be a part of the age-old quest of "Man, know thyself.
